Overview
When 1990 came into service in Puerto Calero, Lanzarote had only two facilities that could be used by pleasure craft: the docks in Arrecife, the capital, and Playa Blanca, in the South.
Born as wintering port, Puerto Calero should be taken into account by all sailors passing through the area because its facilities are first rate, with supply of fuel, water, electricity, telephone and television all moorings and monitoring service 24 hours a day. An area of services and access by land is well separated from the residential area around the port and serves as the capital of urbanization situated at their backs.
